About this Waananga
This waananga is to introduce and awaken you to the philosophies and practices of Whare Wānanga Lore and Traditional Māori Healing.
This 5 day foundational course will cover the dynamics of Takutaku, Kaupare and Whatumanawa, Mirimiri and Romiromi . The awareness and importance of self reflection and healing. This Waananga builds the foundation in order to enter these sacred healing realms confidently.
The 5 days together is about developing spiritual awareness and the importance of spiritual safety for both the kaimahi/practitioner and the whaiora/client. It will provide you with the tools to understand, navigate and stimulate your spiritual growth and consciousness not only within the mahi of Mirimiri/Romiromi but also within your everyday life. You will leave the 5 days confident in a basic Mirimiri/Romiromi alignment as well as feeling a rejuvenated sense of energy and passion for this mahi.
What will be shared:

A Mirimiri/Romiromi bodywork alignment and have the opportunity to build your skills and confidence daily.

Dynamics of Takutaku and kaupare

Puurākau stories of Nga Atua and Māori esoteric wisdoms.

How energy becomes infused within the kaupapa of Mirimiri and Romiromi.

The physicality of energy - how it is sourced, how it’s channelled and how it is absorbed from the kaimahi (practitioner) through to the whaiora (client).

Understanding the energies doing the mahi (work), the intentions that go into doing what we do and the application and how it applies.

Accessing the Whatumanawa (spiritual heart/third eye), strengthening our own connection to self and intuition to enhance healing.
These 5 days provide a foundational of level one bridging into level two, where the physicalisation and transition from Mirimiri into Romiromi is enhanced.
This waananga will provide you with the tools you need to reflect in self healing and practice safely when working with whaiora, Wairua, Tīpuna and Kaitiaki whether that be in Mirmiri and Romiromi or your daily life and interactions.
The philosophies are taught and translated in Te Reo Māori and English. You do not need to have any prior understandings of the Māori language.
You will meet and connect with other like minded souls as-well as have the opportunity to continue training in various training clinics located in Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula.
This waananga is open to all, Māori and non-Māori. The whakapapa of this waananga is through Whare Waananga Lore passed down by Papa Joe -Hohepa DeLeMere to Ruatau Perez. We ask that those who come do so with an open heart and mind.
In order to uphold the integrity of this Mātauranaga anything shared during this waananga is for deeper philosophical understanding, deeper connection to self and wairua and practical application in this mahi of Mirmiri and RomiRomi. It is not to be ‘re-taught’ or reproduced in any form without explicit whakai/permissions. No videos or voice recordings to be taken please.

When: Saturday 23rd November at 10am - Wednesday 27th November at 4pm, 2024
Timings: 9.30am - 4.30/5pm daily.
Where: Capel Sound, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia
Accommodation Options
The majority of places at this waananga are for daily attendees, whereby you arrive by 9.30am each day ready to begin and leave at 4.30/5pm.
However, we do have 3 places with accommodation included:
1 x place - Private room with a King bed. This is for 5 nights from the 23rd-28th November.
2 x places - Twin share room (you will be sharing with another person). This is for 5 nights from the 23rd-28th November.
Kai
All attendees will have lunch, snacks and tea/coffee provided each day, this is included in the overall price.
Those those who have accommodation will need to organise their own breakfast and dinner, this is not included.
Dietary requirements can be catered for - please indicate your preferences in your registration.
Exchange
Daily Attendees
For those who are attending on a daily basis the exchange for this waananga is either:
$1,650 AUD - if paid in full upon registration
$1,850 AUD - if paying off in instalments. A $550 AUD deposit is required at the time of registration to secure your place.
Attendees with Accommodation
1 place - Private room, King Bed: $2,500 AUD
2 places - Twin share: $2,200 AUD per person.
Payment can either be made in full or it can be paid off in instalments - A $550 AUD deposit is required at the time of registration to secure your place.
This includes all kai during waananga along with daily Matauranga / sacred teachings and opportunity to practice bodywork and connect with like minded souls.
