ROLE

 

We are looking for someone to compliment and job share with our current Tangata Manakki.  

This role would be held by someone who believes in a new way of working with our whanau on their long term healing journey. You will be integral in the expansion and offering of Rongoaa Maori in Otautahi.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable and efficient with administration and organisational tasks including strong email management and is process driven.

 Another key part of this role would be connecting with our whaiora/clients making sure they feel seen and cared for while communicating and spending time in Te Whare Hauora o Te Ara Teatea. Our clients have diverse needs and we believe that connecting with them in meaningful ways is a really big part of what we offer at Whare Hauora o te Te Ara Teatea. 

 

Receptionist /Tangata Manaaki Role include: 

- Organise bookings through Cliniko and calendar management Rongoaa Maori practitioners

-  Kanohi ki te kanohi, Email and phone - Private bookings off website or phone 

- Confidential awhi, meet and greet/korero with whaiora 

- Liaison, Invoicing and Reporting for clients

- General email and receptionist duties

- Facebook enquiries 

- Implement system for whaiora records 

- First point of call and for general Housekeeping and whare organisation on days on the reception desk.

Admin/strategic assistance

The other tasks and duties depending on your availability and skill set will be working alongside the trusts co-founders and this part of role is varied can an include strategic support, event /workshop organisation and communication, creating health and safety policies, communications with ACC, Te Whatu Ora, corrections, social media, assisting with expansion of Whare Hauora, proofing and collating funding applications. 

 

HOURS

This will be a flexible job share role, with two options of the front desk.

Option 1: Monday & Wednesday morning and a full day on Friday.

Option 2: Wednesday mornings and a full day on Thursdays and Fridays. 

 

We anticipate up to 12-16 hours in a reception/Tangata Manaaki role in the Whare Hauora, located Woolston, Christchurch. This role will be alongside practitioners in Te Whare Hauora, kanohi ki te kanohi with whaiora/clients. 

 

We also have a further 10 to 15 hours a week available working from home (or onsite) alongside our co-founders to offer administrative and executive support as outlined above.

 

Holidays and flexible/interchangeable hours during school holidays as agreed in partnership with current Tanagata Manaaki. 

EXCHANGE

In exchange for your commitment and mahi you will be offered honest and respectful communication and relationships, Be a part of a whanau focused team. And our pay scale between $28-30 an hour.

 

We believe everyone has the right to Tino rangatiratanga and payment options will be discussed with successful applicant. 

 

You will be provided with a work laptop and phone.
